Top ten in Google SERP

Serplab.co uk - SEO amateur position 8

According to serplab.co.uk SEO Amateur today have postition 8 on a search in Google for "SEO Amateur". Still no postion for the keywords "SEO" or "Search engine optimization". But in a year or so I think I could make it to the top 300 for "Search Engine Optimization". Please come back and see...

Summary: basics in SEO

The basics in SEO is:

1. Frequently updated blog or website
2. Relevant content for your top keywords
3. Relevant headlines
4. Relevant inlinks

If you can achieve those 4 keys to succesful SEO time will show you that you are on the right track. Just be patient. If you can hold on for 3-4 month the result in the Google SERP should beobvious.

As I wrote about in earlier blog posts it is of great importance that you write articles and blog posts regurarly. If you don't your blog will gradually loose it's positions in the Google SERP.

In a short time I'll post a few more SEO tips that gives SEO amateurs power like a pro.

Add meta tags to your Blogger.com blog

In the default Blogger.com templates there are no easy way of adding meta keywords and meta deskription. This is the way to to it:

1. Enter Edit Html in by first clicking your Design-tab and find the row

<b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/>

2. Right after that line of code paste this code:

<meta content='DESCRIPTION' name='description'/>
<meta content='KEYWORDS' name='keywords'/>
<meta content='AUTHOR' name='author'/>

Replace  DESCRIPTION with your description, replace KEYWORDS with your keywords and replace AUTHOR with your name.


3. Save.


4. Done
