Add meta tags to your Blogger.com blog

In the default Blogger.com templates there are no easy way of adding meta keywords and meta deskription. This is the way to to it:

1. Enter Edit Html in by first clicking your Design-tab and find the row

<b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/>
2. Right after that line of code paste this code:
<meta content='DESCRIPTION' name='description'/>
<meta content='KEYWORDS' name='keywords'/>
<meta content='AUTHOR' name='author'/>
Replace  DESCRIPTION with your description, replace KEYWORDS with your keywords and replace AUTHOR with your name.


3. Save.


4. Done

    Hi Darth Continent,

    Thanks for your notice! Didn't know I ranked no 1! In this paricular case I think the explanation is:

    1. My article is about a very narrow topic.
    2. This particular topic has very small competition.

    But still, it is always nice to be no 1.

    In this article I didn't even use any particular meta tags. As I mentioned in my first comment I think my succes with this article has to do with the fact that this specific topic is quite narrow.

    You make more success with a narrow and specific topic than a broad one. For example it is very hard to get to the first position on "travel".

    It is better to get top positions on many "small" topics than to be in the middle in the SERPs on a "top" keyword.
